GREAT class.

This place is the only lagree studio that uses the new Megaformer pilates machines on the east side according to ClassPass, so I was excited to come here to try out a couple classes. Lagree definitely challenges you like no other since the idea is to keep working out muscles until they are fatigued, and that's when you can actually see and feel the results. I've taken a couple classes with Rachael, and she is a great instructor since she comes over and adjusts your form if needed. The exercises and routines do change up every time I come to class so I always feel challenged. My legs always end up shaking during some of the exercises! Since the class can fit up to 10 people max per session, I don't feel like I get lost in the crowd if I need help with my form and that is a plus.

Parking can be a pain so be prepared to circle a few times to look for a spot especially during the late afternoon. Be prepared to sweat and burn!

They Are Wonderful!

I have been to several of Rachael's classes, and they are wonderful! You will get an excellent workout while focusing on slow and controlled movements for safety. Rachael's cues are very good for recruiting the correct muscles and decreasing your risk of injury. She obviously has a knowledge of anatomy/kinesiology and knows how to modify exercises as needed for each individual person! She will encourage you to work hard, but will never push you beyond your comfort level and will always suggest modifications as needed. I have also been going almost every week for a few months, and each of her workouts is different. She always has new and challenging exercises to keep you from getting bored and to get you a total body workout. There are also many exercises that you can do with Lagree Pilates that you can't do anywhere else because of their unique machines. The facility also offers a lot of different class times, so it is easy to find classes that work for your schedule!

I took two classes at this studio during my visits to Seattle area. I am a huge fan of the workout and am not a newbie to it. I appreciate the studio is open as I can exercise while I am traveling (and yes it is addictive enough for me to seek it on my travels). The new machines are amazing!

If I could suggest some improvements, they are as follows:
1. Allow for more variations/pulses in the exercises. I felt the sequences were cut short, and needed maybe 15-20 more seconds to get to that muscle failure.
2. I felt the class was a bit too "zen". It maybe a personal preference, but this isn't your mother's pilates. A more upbeat playlist and energy/motivation in instructions would make a ton of difference.
3. I would appreciate towel service - there are wipes for the machine, but the workout is very intense and requires a towel.

First class is free!

Seriously if you need to get out of the rut of boring workouts at the gym and take your fitness to the next level, you gotta check Lagree out! This is NOT yoga, regular Pilates or even reformer...it's way harder and will promise to give you the hardest (but really amazing) workout ever, especially in your first try! I love Lagree -challenges and fatigues the muscles like no other-and I love this studio- all the instructors are fabulous and so friendly, the equipment is top of the line and everything is so clean and new.

Highly recommend!

I started coming here after looking for something new and challenging, and having enjoyed pure barre for its low impact but high intensity and toning workouts. Being a newcomer, I really appreciate The Pursuit's instructors for their patience and attentiveness, making sure each of us feel comfortable with the different functions of the awesome and versatile Megaformer machine, maintain the proper form, and push ourselves every week! 50 minutes is just enough and I sweat every time! You'll be sore at first for days, but gradually you'll feel stronger and more toned. I've brought my sister and friends, and make my husband come too, as men are welcome!

LOVE IT.

I love this place. This is one of the most intense 50 minute workouts that is soooo doable. Without fail, the next day I always feel like my muscles have gotten an intense workout. Super great staff that keeps the class moving, assisting with correct form, encouragement to feel the burn and to keep it moving, nice and slow. Clean, convenient, nice class sizes, low-impact.

Recommend!

Having practiced Lagree at some great (and not-so-great) studios, I can say that this is one of the best! The owner clearly emphasizes instructor quality and ensuring a positive class experience. Worth checking out if you are anywhere near the Kirkland area.

Thank you

I am now a Lagree convert! I was in Kirkland/Seattle visiting a friend and saw this studio. Since the place where I was staying didn't have a treadmill (my workout of choice), I needed an alternative. I decided to give The Pursuit a try since the first class was free. I've never done this type of Pilates before, but being in fairly good shape, I thought it wouldn't be that difficult. Oh my goodness, I couldn't walk the next day! It was the best feeling, though - and it just showed how important it is to have a well-rounded workout routine. I normally run at least 8 miles a day and I think I burned more calories and sweat more during this 50 minute session. I was lucky enough to have Rachael, the studio owner, as my instructor. She was patient but pushed me hard enough to where I got the maximum benefits. They also sold cute grippy socks in the store, which are essential for this type of workout. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely buy a membership. There's a Lagree studio by my house, and I'm going to sign up for classes there. Thank you, Rachael and The Pursuit for helping me round out my fitness regiment!

I highly recommend it!

This studio just opened this month and it's been a great experience. The owner Rachael is awesome and the instructors are great, as well. I definitely recommend googling "lagree fitness" before attending a class (first class is free). They are very attentive to your health concerns or past injuries.
