Art Programs

Beginner – Art Exploration (Age 4 – 7)

Our beginner program is designed to give our students a basic understanding of creating a new drawing and how to use colors depending on their medium. Students learn:

How to Imagine and Create a new drawing

Exploration of Lines, Forms, Colors and Texture

Understanding of a Composition, Foreground and Background

Use of Art Mediums such as pencil renderings, charcoal, oil pastel, dry pastel and acrylic

Intermediate – Fine Art Fundamentals (Age 7-12)

Our intermediate program covers the knowledge of Fine Art Fundamentals. Students enjoy the challenges and joys of creating ‘original’ works of art while developing observation and problem solving skills. Students learn:

Basic Elements and Principles of Fine Art

One point perspective

Two point perspective

Form, Composition and Balance

3D Effects in 2D Artwork through Drawing and Coloring

Use of Art Mediums such as pencil renderings, charcoal, oil pastel, dry pastel and acrylic

Advanced Exploration (Age 12+)

Advance Art Exploration is a more intense art program where students create individual art works that help them build a Portfolio for High School Projects, Competitions, Art Exhibitions as well as prepare for college.

School to those of you who want your children to succeed in every way the arts have to offer. And Thank you, Rinkle!

My 11-year old daughter is very fortunate enough to be a student at Creative Hands Art School taught by her teacher Rinkle.  In the past she did a few original drawings of dragons and some other game characters but never drew extensively before she started taking art classes with Rinkle.  Her first project there was a portrait of her Grandma Roque who recently passed away from pancreatic cancer.  It was only last Christmas we visited her at a rehabilitation center in Bellingham where she was recovering so well from an emergency surgery for a fractured femur.  That date was December 4, 2016.  This portrait was based on that picture taken that day.  It was planned that my daughter would draw her grandmother, but we weren't sure whether she would finish in time for her grandmother's memorial service, which was only two weeks away from the day she started taking art classes with Rinkle.  With guidance and coaching from Rinkle, my daughter was able to finish her artwork in time.  It only took four one-hour classes.  To this we are very thankful to Rinkle for making it possible for Tooie to pay tribute to her grandmother with this special masterpiece.  Thank you, Rinkle, for being flexible and accommodating and your expertise in teaching children to be incredibly creative.  We recommend Creative Hands Art School to those of you who want your children to succeed in every way the arts have to offer.

Creative Hands is a beautiful space that gets your creative juices flowing:)Rinkle was generous enough to donate an art party certificate for an art/ services auction we will have to raise money for an orphanage in Honduras. I'm excited to see who purchases the certificate and gets to have their child experience a fun class with Rinkle!
