Both times Doug and Lynn were honest, fair, and understood my situation.

I am new to the area and I have a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo that I have been trying to stretch out for a few more months. Last time it was an alternator and now this time it was a leaky brake line. Both times Doug and Lynn were honest, fair, and understood my situation. -Even if it came to inventive (but safe) ways to get the job done cheaper. I hope to not come back with this car, but they have won my business for my future cars.

NW Automotive has serviced and repaired every car I've owned for the past 20 years. Back when they were in the U District. 

Doug is a professional - always. He is very conscientious and methodical in his approach to his work. He's hires top quality mechanics and does a great job of supervising and managing his staff. Everyone that I've ever talked with at any of his shops have always been knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. 

When I bring my car in, Doug (or Raoul at the Lake City shop) explains what he thinks the problem might be and then calls me later to tell me what they found, how much it will cost, how long it will take and (most important) what my options are - some repairs can wait, others are urgent and sometimes there's a less expensive fix (and he explains what the trade-offs would be). He's very patient with me and never talks over my head (or down to me, either). 

My car usually ready before it was promised and right at or below the estimate. When I pick up my car, he explains what was done and, if different than he estimated, he explains what changed and why. 

He also has complete records of all the work done on my cars going back for as long as I've owned each car. And he gives me a heads-up when major maintenance is recommended at certain mileage points. 

I've also had Doug do Buyer's Inspections on used cars that I've considered buying. He is always honest - he's steered me away from potentially bad choices and into cars that have been dependable, low-maintenance cars. 
I would never trust my car to anyone except NW Automotive.
