AP Studio Art

AP Studio Art is a series of Advanced Placement Courses divided into three different categories: AP Studio Art Drawing, AP Studio Art 2D Design, and AP Studio Art 3D Design.

AP Studio Art is a one-credit course intended for the serious 12th grade art student who is highly self-motivated and committed to building a superior portfolio.

The course is time-demanding and based on quality, concentration on a particular mode of work, and breadth of experience. Students will submit their portfolios for evaluation to The College Board enabling them to qualify for college credit in studio art.

Students must choose to submit either a 2D, 3D, or Drawing Portfolio.

To qualify for entrance into the AP, students must maintain a high average in their junior year and undergo a Department Portfolio review.

It is strongly recommended that entrants pursue guided work during the summer of their junior year, in order to prepare for the AP. Completion of a summer assignment is required for all students who wish to qualify.

Each day the girls come home with different types of art projects.

Just enrolled both my girls in their art camp. Great program! Really creative and kind teachers. I love that they also take them to the park everyday. Each day the girls come home with different types of art projects. Parking can be challenging at pickup but otherwise, awesome art school!

My daughter has been to multiple weekly art camps at AL Studio. The staff is amazing, inspiring and supportive of the kids exploration of art and expression. The camp is well organized and we will definitely go back to it and the school year programs.

My 7years old daughter enjoys this art and craft camp. The teachers are super nice and friendly. Outdoor activities and lunch picnic are fun. We'll be back next summer for sure.

My son really enjoyed his summer art camp at AL studio! He got to do a variety of art from drawing to chalk pastels to painting to clay mini-sculptures to tie & dye. He had an amazing time!

This is a very nice art class & summer camp for kids. My niece travels from China to visit me this year and spend a wonderful week here. Hannah and Taotao are both very welcoming and my niece enjoys very much the time here despite the fact her English is very basic. The outdoor activities are fun too!

My 4 year old daughter loved her week of spring break camp so much that we signed her up for a week of summer camp. Very happy and satisfied parent. My daughter comes home everyday with great art projects and happy stories of her day. Recommend!

Tao Tao is AMAZING and I'm so impressed with her new art studio.

Tao Tao is AMAZING and I'm so impressed with her new art studio. When you walk in, you will be impressed right away with the layout and the beautiful pieces of art displayed on the walls. However, more impressive is what she teaches to the children. The students of this art studio, including my own, love taking lessons here. Tao Tao is also very supportive of the local schools and I know other children from Juanita Elementary School have attended her classes and have been very happy.

This is an excellent studio! Teacher Ms. Taotao is very experienced and very good at help young kids develop art interest and skills! We love its studio which is peaceful and open. Everybody have a professional drawing board with perfect light source next to you. Kids are very happy there and I am amazed at how they beautiful they draw after only a few classes. You have to check the studio out!
