I highly recommend seeing the emerald city this way, be sure to request James as your pilot!

Seaplane scenics was a PERFECT way to see the city! Our pilot James was super friendly and VERY knowledgeable. We lucked out with perfect 78* sunny weather, such an interesting perspective to see all of Seattle! Be sure to read the fine print, as we're a bit disappointed when we realized it was a LANDPLANE TOUR, not a seaplane. But James went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable! When he saw how disappointed we were that it wasn't a Seaplane, he went WAY out of his way to make it right, he said he didn't have any other tours that day and if we wanted to pay the difference we could head over to the other airfield and get the seaplane ready for us to fly! It was such a great behind the scene experience!!! I highly recommend seeing the emerald city this way, be sure to request James as your pilot!

Bottom line incredible experience. I have lived in Seattle for almost my entire life but it was unique to see it from this perspective. I had been wanting to do a seaplane tour but the weather forecast was rain the entire week. When I woke up on a Friday and saw it was a sunny (more or less) day, I called around to a few places to see if I could grab a last minute appointment. James with Seaplane Scenics was very friendly and accommodating and let me know his whole afternoon was open. I called at around 1PM and scheduled a 3PM appointment, and 2 hours later I was at the Renton airport ready to take off. The plane was a 4 seater - 2 in the front, 2 in the back. James gave us the option of sitting in the back together or putting one person up in front in the co-pilots seat (we opted to sit in the back). There were great views all around, and I could easily see even on the other side so seating was not a big deal at all. We had headsets and radios to communicate clearly over the motor, which was great as James gave a very entertaining and informative tour. We did a loop from Renton up to UW, around to Discovery Park, and then back around the Seattle waterfront. James pointed out Paul Allen and Bill Gates' houses, different parks, other landmarks, and would dip the plane to one side to give us a better view.Overall really exciting and incredible experience. James and his staff were amazingly friendly and jovial and made the experience that much better. Pro tip: duck when you get off the plane, my girlfriend hit her head.

I bought a Groupon deal for a tour over Seattle for 20 minutes for up to three people. It was my friend's graduation and this was something she had been wanting to do for the longest time. It was a perfect sunny Sunday and I was able to book an appointment on the same day I bought the deal. That was a bonus, because it is hard to predict what the weather is going to be like in Seattle in a week. Our captain, Tom called me a few hours before the scheduled time to make sure we had the address and all the other info. He was super nice and helpful. When we got there, he greeted us and took us to his plane. We had a little bit of time to familiarize ourselves with everything and he went over the places we were going to see. Although we bought a deal for 20 minutes, the tour took about 40 minutes. It was a beautiful day and we were able to see everything. Later that day, Tom sent me a thank you email plus a few photos he took of us before and during the flight. We had a lot of fun and I highly recommend it to all those who live in Seattle and whoever is visiting the city.

James is a great pilot and knowledgable guy! My wife and I decided to take a seaplane tour from Carillon Point on the spur of the moment. It was the highlight of our Seattle trip! The 20 minute flight was just enough to see the Seattle skyline, Puget Sound and Lake Washington. James made it fun and interesting. Not a single scary moment. Do it, you won't regret it!

James is a top-notch pilot and tour guide. Originally, our plan was to fly to Mount Rainier but the weather wasn't quite good enough to have a smooth flight out there. So, we opted to go to the Snoqualmie Falls area. Definitely a flight worth taking; highly recommended!

My fiancé took me on the seaplane tour for my birthday, and I have to say that it was the highlight of the day! The views were amazing and our pilot was absolutely hilarious; quite knowledgable and a great person in general. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience! I would definitely
recommend them to anyone, even if you're from around the area! It's quite an experience seeing your city from above as opposed to every day sights!

I bought a groupon for a private ride for 3 people and took my mom and boyfriend as a surprise, and we all loved it. Our flight left from boeing field- we were a little confused about where to go for the flight, but we were able to call and ask and they quickly directed us. Even though we booked a 20 minute flight, it was closer to 40 minutes. We told the pilot that we lived in fremont and he radioed in and asked if he could get permission to circle around and he actually pointed out our house to us- very cool!! my mom is from out of town, so he point out landmarks and whatnot to her. overall, awesome experience. definitely worth the price too especially because I got a groupon. highly recommend!!

Highly recommended!! I've been in Seattle for a few months and have seen all the sights from the ground, but it was so much better to see them all from the sky! We went out on a very warm and sunny day, but the pilot said that it would be even better in cooler weather because there is actually turbulence from the heat when flying over land. It was so much better than expected, and the pilot was super funny and knew all about the area. It would be a perfect gift or activity for a loved one visiting the area.

The pilot, James, is amazing! He is welcoming, skilled, knowledgable & friendly. His knowledge of flying & weather patterns is very impressive. This tour is great even on a cloudy day. James ensures that his passengers get super views of Seattle & learn some fun facts too! James made the trip exciting & informative for passengers aged 9 to 70! We highly recommend this tour and we plan to give him repeat business.
