The staff was friendly and if I had liked my cocktail more I would have given this place more stars.

While staying at the Willows Lodge we decided to grab some happy hour drinks and snacks before
dinner. The lounge itself sits next to the hotel lobby with bar seats, tables, outdoor tables and a
couch by the fireplace. We grabbed a bar table and ordered a couple drinks. I got a cucumber
cocktail that honestly tasted weak and was way too cucumbery to the point I couldn't taste an other
ingredients. We ordered the cheese plate and the truffle fries and they were both delicious. I was
happy with the amount of cheese we were given for the price and the truffle fries literally had big
pieces of truffle in then...yum! Live music was just being set up when we got there but we left
before it started. The staff was friendly and if I had liked my cocktail more I would have given this
place more stars.

First off, I'm biased about willows in general since having our wedding there 5+ years ago.
Everything was so wonderful, I just can't help but love the place.
But here we are and the fireside lounge is as wonderful as it could be. Went back for our
anniversary and indulged in the same wonderful grand marnier prawns we had served at our
wedding. The service can be a little slow and it isn't cheap, but it's a wonderful little spot. In the
summer sit outside in the gorgeous garden, in the winter enjoy the cozy fireplace. Yes I'm happy to
report fireside does have a real fireplace. Thank goodness!
