Great bar to have a drink on a Friday after work! Nice people!

Great bar to have a drink on a Friday after work! Nice people, not too loud but also not too quiet.
Only downside was the smoke, which was right outside the front door but it made the bar a bit
smokey. Music was good, people were fun and the drinks were cold.
And this is where my 5 stars went to 4....
After a couple of hours, the music was turned up so loud it made conversations difficult. The
bartenders and waitresses had a hard time keeping up with the service.
It was generally a fun place though.

Steve's is one of those dives where it is awesome to be a regular, because you recognize folks there and everyone's a buddy.

I first went to Steve's on a warm night back in June 2015. First thing I noticed was how cozy it was.
Then I found that the regulars and the barkeeps are like family here. I joined that summer as a
weekly regular - enjoying pints, singing along to Queen when it came on the jukebox, eating raw
jalapeños they would bring me from the kitchen (they didn't even charge me for 'em). Then
personal business took me away for about a year, but when I showed up again this last August, the
barkeeps remembered me and welcomed me back.
Steve's is one of those dives where it is awesome to be a regular, because you recognize folks
there and everyone's a buddy. I usually only go for late night festivities, but I hear the food is pretty
damn good - and not just for a dive either.

So I was very pleasantly surprised by their food. Normally expectations for bar food are pretty low,
but they surprised me. We ordered the white seafood pizza, bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers and
a pitcher of Blue Moon.
The pizza was around $12.00, only about a 10" and was on a thinner crunchy crust, so upon first
view I was afraid that it wasn't going to be very filling. But they were very generous with the seafood
toppings amongst all the other toppings and the taste of the pizza all together was amazing!! We
both loved it!
The bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, there were three of them on the plate, so again I was
disappointed that there were so few initally, but those little suckers were SO flavorful and fresh! The
bacon added such a good flavor to the spice, and I want to say the dipping sauce it was served with
was a Chipotle BBQ..? Not totally sure what it was but it was good too.
The pitcher of beer was a little flat, but we're not ones to complain too much.
Atmosphere was your typical bar, with high top tables and bar table seating. The building wasn't
small, but with the people it was just crowded enough that it was right at the point of being too
crowded. But, what can you expect on a Friday night.
Overall this was definitely a place we will be coming back to! The food was so good!
