Description

The gorgeous space boasts sprawling wooden floors, an outdoor deck overlooking the water, and a stage for the many bands that provide live music.  Loyal patrons know all too well that Wilde Rover offers both an early- and late-evening happy hour daily, serving cheap pints and grub like curried chips and Jameson whiskey wings.  But for absolute proof of the pub's beloved status in the neighborhood, look no further than trivia night, a regular Wednesday occurrence that draws almost as much of a crowd as St. Patricks day does.

Very friendly staff!thanks!

Great service. Very friendly staff. Food was top notch as always. Halibut & Chips were worth the extra over the Cod & Chips.

:(

I love the fake mash with Cauliflower. There is no arugula in the quinoa/faro/arugula salad tho...you can just expect a bowl of greens

It was great!

Came here for St. Patricks Day & it was great! Though incredibly busy, getting a drink never took too long and the servers were very patient - we could see them trying to walk through the crowds and dance floor to get to tables and they were always kind! The place is very large and we will definitely be returning on a non crazy night to check it out and get some food!

everyone needs to go here and check it out!

I went to this place last night with some friends who just moved from out of town, I have lived in Seattle for 7 years but more recently started working in Kirkland. I have never been too fond of the area as everywhere seems a little too upscale for me, but this place is awesome. The bartender was funny and upbeat, he was attentive and made us feel welcome. The food is amazing and the atmosphere was fun. They also had a live band which apparently they are there every Sunday. Needless to say, everyone needs to go here and check it out!!

a great place!

Came here for a birthday party. It was a great place for our group. With pool, shuffle board, dancing, food and drinks it had something for everyone! Also great outside patio area! Lauren our serve was amazing!! She was totally on top of our huge group and had no issues keeping our bills separate! The food was decent! I loved my chicken burger but the fries were just ok. The potato skins were kinda boring they needed a little something else. Sadly parking can totally be hit or miss in the area with all the other bars and restaurants.

not very

Here for a event. We booked the back room and had our own bartender. They had a buffet style meal for us. Standard veggies, salad, chicken, beef. Then dessert tray. Food was not too impressive and drink service was slow at first. The bar was not prepared to serve the amount of people at our event.

but I always have a good time here!

Expect: Decent size place! They have a huge public seating area and outdoor seating area. They do play live music here! There are also private room rentals. You will also find shuffle board and a pool table in the back. Decent size bar but I don't think they have enough waiters/bartenders. We usually have to wait for a while if you're seated to get service.. Also, after like 10 pm you have to pay $5 to get in on Fridays and Saturdays (I don't think it's a big deal) but I always have a good time here! Service: 3 Cleanliness: 4 Quality of food: 4 Quality of drinks: 5 Tip: Come before 10 so you don't have to pay the $5!

A+++)

The lamb stew hit the spot in ways to make ladies blush and the Reuben tots were made as though Gordon Ramsay were on retainer as a consultant. Seriously good. The cheese board is extravagant by very hip standards. A+++ would stuff my face again. The bar fare, on the other hand, was good but not quite great. I think a larger microbrew selection and more of a spin on the cheap junk (e.g. different dipping sauce for the fries) would make this a shoe-in for regular hang out. On the plus side, the rotating taps and overall beer selection definitely score points for this place.

The Wilde rover is a pretty fun addition to the nightlife

So I have sadly NEVER tried the food here. They don't serve it at the bar and I always come sit at the bar, when it's packed or the kitchen is about to close. The bartenders are very friendly and make some great drinks! They have rotating beers so I get to try out new things. On days when they have live music (Friday,Saturday) there usually is a 10$ cover which may or may not be worth it depending on band. It gets pretty packed here and you'll be lucky to find a spot at the bar if you don't get here early. I didn't figure this out for awhile but there is a pool table at the back! So if you're looking for some drinks, food, and pool Wilde rover is a great alternative to central tavern. They also have some pretty sweet karaoke nights that are super fun. The Wilde rover is a pretty fun addition to the nightlife in downtown Kirkland and it's worth dropping by!
