Description

Our unfussy, rustic dishes are intended to be shared and served as soon as they are prepared, unlike timed entrées for each individual. We love a casual, convivial atmosphere where you can order dishes “for the table”, as much, or as little as you like, and experience the food in a communal way. We hope you enjoy this unstructured way of eating as much as we do!

Black Bottle Postern is my new go-to spot for happy hour in downtown Bellevue. I had a couple of
hours to kill before a late dinner in the area, so I headed down here to whittle away the time with a
beer or two. I was not expecting to walk into such a large, sleek, shiny gastropub, but hey, I'll take
it.
This spot is hip and happening. When I walked in at 5 PM, I had my pick of seats. By 7 PM (on a
Monday, no less) the entire place was packed to the rafters, and folks had to wait for tables. So
yes, this isn't really a hidden gem--it's extremely popular, and with good reason. The beer selection
is pretty good--I indulged in some pFriem and Fort George brews, which you certainly can't find
easily. The avocado fries were a fine happy hour snack. I especially enjoyed the smoky dip that
accompanied them. Service was always polite and attentive, and at no point did we feel rushed
despite the fact that the restaurant was clearly getting busier.
I didn't stay for dinner, but I certainly wouldn't complain if someone wanted to grab dinner here. All
the food I saw at other tables looked delicious! I'm sure I'll make it back here sooner rather than
later.

Love this place, they have amazing food and cocktails.
Tried the Scandinavian bellini last night and loved it.We always get the Wild boar ribs, pear gorgonzola flatbread both of which were really good last
night too. Also had the chana batura, which was good.
For dessert, we tried the bourbon sauced bread pudding, very different from any other bread
pudding we have had and delicious. Boozy is the word for it.

Black Bottle offers delicious gastropub style. Very high end with yesterday's prices!! I really enjoyed
their bacon cheese stuffed jalapeño. Man, it was bursting with flavor. Their happy hour drinks were
excellent including their Old Fashioned Whiskey. I've never had bulgogi served taco style but I
gotta say, the meat was tender and again, bursting with unique flavors.
Black Bottle is also a great place for large groups especially for special occasions or company
celebration. Love the open feel space, huge long communal tables, and the tall windows that faces
the street side. Service here was pehenomal. Our waitress gave excellent recommendations both
food and drinks. I'd definitely make an effort to come back here again during my visit to Bellevue.
