Description

Welcome to Ooba Tooba’s!

Just what is Ooba Tooba? Well,it’s really a beach in Brazil that’s located north of São Paulo. The original Portuguese spelling is ‘Uba Tuba’, but we liked the name so much that we added the double O’s and changed the spelling to “Ooba Tooba”. We made it the name of one of the fastest growing, independently owned, restaurant groups in the Seattle area.

Our menu isn’t from a specific state or region in Mexico; it’s an eclectic mix of delicious recipes we’ve carefully chosen and developed over the years. It is Mexican food with a twist. On the menu, you’ll find fresh, flavorful, affordable meals that customers crave. From 5 different salsas made daily to grilled chicken enchiladas with housemade guajillo red sauce to grilled Portobello mushroom tacos to grilled skirt steak burritos – Ooba Tooba appeals to everyone – no matter what their palate.

Husband and wife team, Craig Johnson and Lisa Tarleton, and Craig’s brother, Mark Johnson, created Ooba Tooba Mexican grill. The three wanted to open a restaurant that they would frequent – one that had fresh, flavorful food at affordable prices – and a changing menu so that frequent visitors wouldn’t get tired of the same thing.

We invite you to come and taste the flavors of Mexico ... with a twist – Ooba Tooba!

I love that I can order taco without rice&bean. Best part of this place is the salsa bar.

The portion is not very big, and the price is higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area. I
ordered shrimp taco and for 10.99$ I got 2 taco with small bag of chip. There are good amount of
shrimps, really worth paying 11$. I like the food here more than chipotle, Ricardo, Tapatio and
Cactus. When everything is freshly make, it will show in the look and the taste. I love that I can
order taco without rice&bean. Most of the places serve them with rice&bean which I have never be
able to finish it.(add 2$ if you want rice&bean) Best part of this place is the salsa bar. Super fresh and tasty but not quite spicy enough for me. I
wish they have a little bottle of crazy hot sauce for a spicy crave like me. I literary sip the whole cup
of their hot salsa today.

NO, NO, NO!!!...your taste buds will thank you.

NO, NO, NO!!! Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else in Factoria for an upgrade. Positive
reviews for this place are questionable. Did they go to the same place? Are they friends of the
restaurant?? Have they eaten Mexican food before??
Cons: overpriced
inattentive and rude wait staff
random "mystery" ingredients
horrible guacamole- watery, flavorless, gloop
salsa bar: messy and half empty

Pros: tons of alternate dining options in the immediate area....please visit them...just randomly
choose...your taste buds will thank you.
