Great happy hour food choices

What's beautiful day to be in this restaurant when you have a panoramic view of the kirkland waterfront. Great happy hour food choices, same owner as nijo sushi in downtown and the ambiance is traditional and modern. We had sushi and rosé! A perfect afternoon!

the really confused waitress, I would recommend other restaurants.

My family visited this restaurant a few months ago. We should have taken a hint when there was only one other table occupied. Since we happened to be there for happy hour, we decided to order a few things off that menu and a few things off their regular menu. Our waitress took our entire order, but throughout the meal would have to come back to us and confirm our order. If it was just once, I would totally understand. But this occurred at least three times. The ramen was bland. They put wasabi on my daughter's salmon sushi even though she specifically requested no wasabi. I think if they would narrow their focus on the type of cuisine, it would be better. However, between just hum drum food and the really confused waitress, I would recommend other restaurants. Probably the best thing about this meal was that my iced water was always refilled so I never was thirsty.

The sushi is simply amazing and the Miso soup is my favorite.

Love the location of this place. The food taste so much more fresh than other places I have tried. The sushi is simply amazing and the Miso soup is my favorite. Give this place a shot. They are fairly new too as well, no wait most of the time.

The reason I gave them 2 Star is because they refunded me my whole bill quickly.

I was excited to come here but ended up having an awful experience. I cant rate the food because i waited a whole hour before getting it. I came for happy hour but had an appointment after. I ordered immediately then got my wine. Waited an hour for 2 happy hour sushi rolls! The fastest service we got was when we asked for a refund so we could leave to make it to our other engagements. The reason I gave them 2 Star is because they refunded me my whole bill quickly.

Great place on the water front. Best happy hour in Kirkland for sure.

Great place on the water front. Best happy hour in Kirkland for sure. Food is great and reasonably priced. Staff is actually knowledgeable about Saki! They have a patio that overlooks the water, can't wait for the warm weather.

the location is fantastic !

The place has everything going for itself except the service is slow. They better get ready for summer cause the location is fantastic and Kirkland needs a nice sushi place like this. Love the music and friendly young servants. Ambiance is good and summer will be packed outside. Can't wait;-)

Very attentive service and I can honestly say I will be back.

I returned for their amazing Tonkotsu ramen. It's a relief that this is consistently good! I don't usually gravitate towards ramen, but their broth is excellent. Agedashi - so good. Ecstatic that this is another consistently good dish! We wanted to try something new, so we ordered their curry mussels. The choice was rice or bread to accompany the sauce. Bread was an obvious choice for me. The mussels were good although I found the curry on the salty side. There was a nice spicy kick to it but not overly spicy. Hot sake on a cold dreary day - good choice. Bloody Mary - mind blowing flavorful liquid warming your soul accompanied with a tempered spiciness. Very attentive service and I can honestly say I will be back. There is a great view of the lake and the decor is stylish and modern. They have two other businesses in Seattle and I hope you take some time to ask about their sister restaurants. I hope they stay on business because they are so open to feedback and they are so accommodating to making your experience an enjoyable and memorable one!

Menu is extensive, and I would definitely return to try their other items.

Quiet happy hour on President's day. Restaurant was empty and we were happy to sit at the bar. Contemporary decor and tables seemed nicely spaced apart. It was a bit cold in the restaurant because the door was also left open.Cocktails: new items on the menu. Think they should have a practice run because the barman said he'd never made one before. LOL. Sushi rolls: ok. A bit on the pricey side compared to other established Japanese restaurants. Edamame: nicely salted and not bland like some places. Of course, complimentary doesn't hurt. Agedashi tofu: beautifully fried with a very yummy broth. High on the umami factor!!! Topped with green onion and minced ginger. Highly recommend this. Tonkatsu ramen: delicious!! Generous portion. Two pieces of tender pork belly which melted in my mouth, half boiled egg, done just right - soft. Very flavorful broth and a definite home run! Menu is extensive, and I would definitely return to try their other items.
